Gowanbrae Children’s Centre
Gowanbrae Children’s Centre was established in 2011 and is located in the Gowanbrae Community Centre. This modern, well-designed service has two classrooms and a wonderful large outdoor learning environment. Gowanbrae Children’s Centre provides the local community with a high-quality early childhood educational program for children aged three to five years.
Lake Park Kindergarten
Lake Park Kindergarten has served the Coburg community since 1969 and is nestled amongst the beautiful natural environment of the Merri Creek and Coburg Lake Parklands. The building and the yard at the service were renovated and improved in 2012. The kindergarten nurtures children in a secure, happy and caring environment as they explore, discover and grow through play-based learning.
Moomba Park Kindergarten
Moomba Park Kindergarten is an integral part of the northern Fawkner community landscape. The kindergarten was renovated and expanded in 2012 to accommodate the growing number of families living in the area. In early 2020 the outdoor area at the service was also revitalised. The early years educators at Moomba Park Kindergarten strive to ensure that all children and families in their community feel valued, supported and important.
Newlands Preschool
Newlands Preschool is part of the bustling Newlands Community Centre Hub in Coburg North. Its light-filled kindergarten room and the large, secluded outdoor area have both recently been upgraded by Merri-bek City Council. Newlands Preschool aims to promote a child’s positive sense of self and encourages respect for all individuals and the environment.
Oak Park Kindergarten
Oak Park Kindergarten has been part of the Oak Park community for more than 50 years. Over this time the service has developed strong connections with local primary schools, intervention agencies and Merri-bek City Council. The kindergarten provides regular cooking and gardening experiences for children who tend the vegetable patch and make use of natural and recycled materials in all of the programs as much as possible.
St Linus Kindergarten
St Linus Kindergarten is a community based sessional kindergarten managed by Merri-bek Early Years Management. We provide the local community with a high quality early childhood educational program for children aged three-five years and offer children outstanding facilities. Children who attend St Linus Kindergarten are engaged in a play-based curriculum based upon children’s emergent interests. Both indoor and outdoor activities and experiences are carefully planned to enable each child to progress in their next step in learning.
Turner Street Kindergarten
Turner Street Kindergarten is a busy community-focused service in Pascoe Vale. Its kindergarten room has a range of learning areas for the children to work independently or in groups and the shaded outdoor space has climbing structures, a cubby house, a sand play area and garden beds. The produce and herbs from the garden provide lots of impetus for learning, sharing and joyful experiences such as cooking and tasting.
