From 2023, free kindergarten programs will be available for 3 & 4yo children at an MEYM service and therefore program fees will not be charged to families.

Free Kinder is available in Three- and Four-Year-Old Kinder programs at participating services across Victoria. 

Free Kinder is for everyone.

You can only receive Free Kinder at one kinder service at a time. By completing our enrolment form you will acknowledge that MEYM will be claiming the funding for your child.

Families do not need to have a concession to be eligible to access free kinder however are asked to provide us with the following concessional information which is collected by Department of Education.

• if your child identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
• if your child is identified on their birth certificate as being a multiple birth child (triplets or more).

or if your child holds or has a parent or guardian who holds, one of the following:

• a Commonwealth Health Care Card
• a Commonwealth Pensioner Concession Card
• a Department of Veterans Affairs Gold Card or White Card
• Refugee or Asylum Seeker visa (200-204, 786 or 866)
• Bridging visas or any of the above Refugee or Asylum Seeker visa’s
• Temporary Protection visa (subclass 785) – Early Start Kindergarten
• Safe Haven Enterprise visa (subclass 790) – Early Start Kindergarten
• Humanitarian Stay Visa (subclass 449) – Early Start Kindergarten
• Visa subclass 851 Resolution of Status
